Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,

We invite you to participate in the “TBD International Laboratory Medicine Summit”, which we will hold this year from October 28th to October 31st at the Atatürk University Cultural Center in Erzurum.

As you know, every year at the end of October, we used to hold our national congress during the days encompassing our Republic Day. However, this year, since we held the international FEBS 2025 congress in Istanbul from July 5th to 9th with 2200 participants, we cannot hold another congress. Therefore, we have chosen the name of this event in Erzurum as the “TBD International Laboratory Medicine Summit,” which also evokes the majestic Palandöken Mountain of our beautiful Erzurum.

Preparations for our event are underway.

The summit will also be supported by our main federations, IFCC and EFLM. Work on the scientific program has begun. The program will include numerous speakers from IFCC and EFLM, the Turkic Republics, and our country. The scientific program will also include satellite symposiums by IVD companies. As we have always done at our congresses, courses/workshops will be held before or during the summit as part of the scientific program. As always, we will try to provide registration and/or accommodation scholarships to our young colleagues who actively participate in this important international event, to the best of our ability. Abstracts of the papers presented at the event will be published in the Turkish Journal of Biochemistry, the official publication of TBD, which is indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded.

We invite you to our beautiful Erzurum, at the foot of Palandöken, to share your knowledge and experiences in this wonderful scientific environment, to meet and exchange information with participants from abroad, from regional countries, mainly from Turkic Republics and our country, and to increase the scientific and social richness of the event.  

This year is also the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Biochemistry Association. This is extremely important for us, for all biochemists. Come and let's meet again at another international event that will leave a mark on our 50th anniversary.
