4 – 8 July 2026
Royal Seginus Hotel
Dear colleagues, dear friends,
Biochemistry today is not merely a scientific field but an evolving language that translates theoretical knowledge to clinic practice and touches patients through laboratory practices. It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 36th International Biochemistry Congress which will be organized in Royal Seginus Hotel, Antalya between 4-8 November 2026, so we can develop, discuss and advance this language together for the future
Traditionally, we have been organizing our congresses with the spirit of the Republic Day Celebrations. However, due to the overlap with IFCC WORLDLAB, scheduled between 25-29 October, we have moved our congress dates. Nevertheless, our enthusiasm for bringing science together with the values of our Republic carries with the same determination.
As Turkish Biochemical Society, our greatest strength is our ability to bring together the basic sciences and clinical practice at the same table. In this congress, we aim to create a truly interdisciplinary scientific environment -one in which diverse disciplines can genuinely hear and learn from one another spanning a broad spectrum from molecular mechanisms to bedside decision-making processes, and from novel biomarkers to diagnostic strategies.
Our scientific committee is working meticulously on a scientific programme that not only covers the current topics but a programme that makes you ask questions, provides a platform for debate and envelops all participants in its’ scientific stream. . For five days, we will talk about the ”today” of our field and collectively design its’ future.
Therefore, we are aiming for a congress experience that moves beyond traditional presentations where participants will be an active contributing part of the program, instead of being just the audience. We will be prioritizing to create an atmosphere where we can openly discuss our profession’s issues as well as the scientific content.
Our congress will provide a platform not only for the experienced scientists but also for young researchers, residents, assistants and early-career colleagues where they can learn, gain visibility and build new connections. Because the future of science is shaped in environments where generations can learn from one another. For this reason, hands-on courses, career forums, and interactive sessions specifically designed for our young colleagues will occupy a significant part in our program. PhD students, research assistants, and early-career participants will have opportunities to engage with distinguished experts, contributing directly to both their scientific and professional development.
The extensive industrial exhibition will serve as a dynamic meeting point where participants can directly experience innovations ranging from diagnostic technologies and digital solutions to analytical systems and laboratory automation. We believe that these interactions with industry representatives will make tangible contributions to both research and clinical practice.
The publication of the presented abstracts in the Turkish Journal of Biochemistry, the official journal of our association indexed in SCI-Expanded, will also ensure the lasting impact of this scientific exchange.
I sincerely invite you to mark your calendars for 4–8 November 2026 and to contribute to making this congress a meaningful and enriching experience together.
We are shaping the congress not only around scientific sessions, but as a multi-layered platform for learning and interaction — offering opportunities for young scientists, discussion forums, and direct engagement with the industry. We look forward to meet in Antalya not just for congress, but for a shared scientific journey.
Kind Regards,
Dr. Muhittin A. Serdar
President, Turkish Biochemical Society
